About the creation process of the documentary “Identities” (interview in English):
I was born in São Paulo, Brazil, a city full of contrasts and contradictions. From the beginning, I became interested in art, curious about how I could connect with the reality around me, and in the stories of people, as historical documents of the time and space they live.
Interests: subjective experience and social change, documentary, poetry, autobiography, art and media.
I am currently a Ph.D. student in Communication at Unesp (Bauru / Brazil). I have a bachelor degree in Broadcasting from Faculdade Cásper Líbero (São Paulo / Brazil / 2005), with a specialization in Film Direction from ESCAC - School of Cinema and Audiovisuals of Catalunya (Barcelona / Spain / 2008) and a master in Arts from Unesp (São Paulo / Brasil / 2020). I was a director and scriptwriter for the talk show “A Máquina” (2012-2016). I directed three series of documentaries for television: “Inspiradores” (2015), “Arte na Rua” (2015) and “Projeto 1 Dia” (2016). I idealized, directed and co-produced the feature documentary film “Identities” (2015), selected by the III China Women's Film Festival (Beijing / China / 2015) and screened on Canal Brasil's “It's All True” Program ( 2016-2017). I worked as a director in the educational project “Interactive Technical Collection” (2010), produced by TV Cultura. I was the editor of the comedy show “É Tudo Improviso” (2010), produced by the production company “Academia de Filmes” in partnership with TV Bandeirantes. I was the editor of the documentary “An Unexpected Family: Stories from a Slum” (2010), a co-production in Brazil / Kenya / Canada / United Kingdom. In the academic field, I worked as the supervisor of the media lab “Experimental Audiovisual Production Hub at Faculdade Cásper Líbero” (2018-2019).
